Cosmic Strings

Well, after neglecting this blog for ages, I’ve decided I’ll post lists of what birds I’ve seen on an occasional basis. Unless otherwise stated, bird reports will be for Mount Hamilton, CA.

This morning I heard a bird I didn’t recognize, so I went searching for it. Didn’t find it but I did have a good hour of watching birds anyway. Tally was:

Townsend’s Warbler 1
Scrub Jay 10
Steller’s Jay 1
Oak Titmouse 2
Dark-eyed Junco 12+
Golden-Crowned Sparrow 4
Anna’s Hummingbird 2
Western Bluebird 4
Spotted Towhee 2
Lesser Goldfinch 3
Band-tailed Pigeon 6
Mourning Dove 1
California Quail (heard, not seen)
White-breasted Nuthatch 2
House Finch 4

Last year (Jan 2004) I took a fantastic vacation to Costa Rica to see the wildlife. I decided this would be a good time to try and see if I could add my web page of the best or most interesting photos to the links section of my blog. It seems to be successful.
